Picture
The cast of the 2010 Saint Paul Vagina Monologue production are volunteers that believe in the movement and are here to support the V-Day operation. It is our honor to be able to share these stories with you. These are not our words. They are the words of brave women all over the world.

Jessica Bartram, Actor

Picture
This is Jessica’s third year performing in The Vagina Monologues and each year, it becomes nearer and dearer to her heart. To be able to share these amazing stories of such brave women and girls from all over the world is truly a blessing. Jessica feels even more honored to be performing this year’s spotlight monologue, A Teenage Girl’s Guide To Surviving Sex Slavery. These events include a lot of hard work and preparation but to be able to work with such an amazing beneficiary such as Cornerstone and to see all of the remarkable things that they do for local domestic violence victims and their families makes every drop of sweat and tears worth it. All my love, support and prayers go out to those that need it most. Keep your head high and know that there is always someone out there to help you. You are never alone.

Andrea Garland, Actor

Picture
This is Andrea Garland’s first year participating in The Vagina Monologues.  She is very excited to be working with such strong women to get the word out about domestic violence.  Andrea is also passionate about working for this cause because she wants every woman to know in her heart that she is special and deserves to be treated like the Queen she is.  We all deserve that!

Dani Garland, Actor

Picture
This is Dani’s debut with The Vagina Monologues. The women involved are amazing and she has loved every minute of it! So much so, in fact, that just being with them has been a growing experience, along with (of course) developing this production. Dani is looking forward to gaining a perspective of the show from the stage rather than the audience. The moved, stunned, happy and sad faces in the audience from the show will be the most rewarding aspect of being apart of V-Day. Knowing we are sharing the inspiring and life-changing stories from real women around the world is an absolutely fantastic feeling. Enjoy the show!

Sarah Glover, Director

Picture
Sarah Glover is proud to be here with you for the third year in a row. Spending time working on The Vagina Monologues is one of her favorite hobbies, and she's very excited to be sharing these moments with such talented local lovelies. Sarah's passions include the fight against domestic violence, and finding a cure for diabetes. Sarah would like to thank her support system for all they do! This includes, but is not limited to, her parents, who have always taught her to fight for what she believes in, and have empowered her to do so; her brother and her boyfriend for being strong supporters and excellent examples of men who know how to treat women right; her friends, for always being there for her, including when she asks them to participate in The Vagina Monologues - they've gone beyond the duty of friendship and have truly become a part of this adventure; past, present, and future Vagina Warriors, for taking a stand in what they believe in; and last, but certainly not least - YOU, the audience! Without your support, this event could not happen! Please... sit back, and enjoy the show!

Sarah Herzog, Actor

Picture
Sarah Herzog is a Vagina Monologues virgin and she couldn't be more excited to pop her V-Monologues cherry! She was motivated to participate in the Vagina Monologues after realizing through conversations with her friends that she wasn’t comfortable talking about her vagina. Sarah wanted to embrace The Vagina Monologues experience and push herself out of her comfort zone and she's so glad she did. The experience has been educational as well as empowering. Sarah thinks every woman should feel fantastic about their vaginas and The Vagina Monologues has the power to do just that!

Julie Kendall, Actor

Picture
Julie Kendall is so excited to be a part of The Vagina Monologues this year. She feels that the best way to bring attention to a large situation is to get attention for a situation. That could be accomplished in many ways like sparking peoples intrigue, empathy, humor or even shock. She hopes that this event will stimulate all those emotions, bring to focus what the problem is here and help to make it better.

DoMinga Verdeja Kloskowski, Actor

Picture
Three years ago, DoMinga went to see a close friend perform in The Vagina Monologues. "I laughed so hard I cried and I cried so hard I laughed!' she remembers. So, in 2009, when she was asked if she'd like to be a Vagina Warrior she didn't hesitate. "How could I say no?!?" And she's is back again for the 2010 St. Paul Vagina Monologues. "It's for such a great cause and I couldn't pass up the friends and memories I knew I would make!" So, start your betting ladies. She says she'll do her best to keep from laughing this year, but no guarantees! DoMinga would like to send out a very special thank you to her family and friends for the love and support they have always shown! Love, Always, Kiss!

Ashley Landers, Actor

Picture
Ashley is a virgin participant to the 2010 St. Paul Vagina Monologues. Her first experience with VDAY occurred in 2006 when she observed The Vagina Monologues at St. Cloud State University. She remembers envying those courageous women (both on stage and those whose stories were told) who spoke so bold, so confidently, and with such grace. Ashley's interest in women's issues began as a little girl. She remembers embracing her femininity and still pushing gender defined stereotypes. She always felt she could wear a pink ruffled dress and play baseball with the boys - at the same time. Ashley feels passionately about the VDAY message and wants to use her voice to ensure it is heard. She currently works as a therapist for offenders and victims of sexual abuse. She believes in the power of resiliency and believes it can be found in the stories told in this year's production of The Vagina Monologues.

Rosealee Lee, Actor

Picture
Rosealee Lee is a woman who believes that women can own their power and use it for good... good will, good nurturing, good fun... well, you get the picture. She has long believed that women should reclaim the "C" word (it was our word until the early 20th century) and that women have a "C" so they cannot possibly be one. She asks audience members to consider that if cunt, which merely means a woman's vagina, is a nasty word: perhaps the user has a deep fear of a women's sexuality? Is opposing the use of the word cunt sexist? Rosealee is a mother, grandmother, college instructor and entrepreneur, who is reclaiming our word.

Cecily Manejwala, Actor

Picture
Cecily attended her first V-Day event in 2003 at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. From there she knew that she wanted to be a part of the movement to stop violence against women.  In 2005 she had the opportunity take the stage in her performance of “My Vagina Was My Village” in Charlotte, NC.  Cecily recently moved from Richmond, VA to Saint Paul, MN and is excited to be a part of the campaign here.  Cecily is grateful for the support and encouragement of her loving husband, friends, and family.  She believes strongly in women’s rights and would like to thank you for supporting this cause.

Kari Metz, Actor

Picture
This year, Kari has found new meaning in the Vagina Monologues.  She is expecting her first baby in May and is honored to be part of a powerful performance dedicated to celebrating femininity, creating awareness about family violence, and cherishing the gifts our bodies give to humankind.

Jennifer Negro, Actor

Picture
Jen Negro is another V-Day virgin this year and is so proud to be amongst such AMAZING Vagina Warriors! Jen works as a nurse and meets so many women from different walks of life with difficult situations and life stories. She felt empowered to use her voice and experience to help raise awareness and support for antiviolence movements.  She is honored to be involved in a performance that recognizes women as intricate, compassionate, and sensual beings. Let's celebrate victorious vaginas!

Heather West, Actor

Picture
This is Heather's first year participating in The Vagina Monologues. When she walked through the doors of Cornerstone, she knew she was at home. This cause she holds near and dear to her heart. Unfortunately, she was a victim for over four years. She has had the courage to overcome and survive, and now it out to spread the word. That no longer do you have to suffer. Man or woman, there is help. Acting has always been a passion for her, and so is this cause. We welcome her with open arms.
